The 2017 fall meeting was jointly hosted by the Capital Area Food Protection Association (CAFPA) (https://www.cafpa.com/) and the American Society of Microbiology (ASM) Washington, D.C. Branch.
The meeting was a huge success with ~100 attendees and talks by an ASM Distinguished Lecturer and 3 invited speakers. We also had 14 poster presentations by students and early career scientists.
