ASM Washington, D.C. Branch
Mission
The Washington, D.C. Branch of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) aims to advance microbiology and related fields in the Washington, D.C. Metro area by providing a networking and research sharing platform.
Branch members includes academics, industry and government professionals, students, and others that share a love for microbiology. The Branch has 4 Student Chapters located at Uniformed Services University, George Mason University, University of Maryland, and Howard University.
We host bi-annual meetings to facilitate interactions among members; stimulate investigations in microbiology and related sciences; disseminate the results of microbiology research carried out by scientists in the Washington, D.C. area; and provide a means by which students can present research findings.
